Code Interpretation Service

The Code Interpretation Service (CIS) provides coordinated guidance about implementing Chapters 1 and 2 of the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code.

CIS guidance is available to all food industry stakeholders on a fee-for-service basis.

Visit the CIS portal to lodge, track and view applications.

This CIS portal allows:

• applicants to upload their application and will notify them by email as their application reaches different stages in the process
• stakeholders to subscribe to view the progress of applications and be notified when the application is open for public comment
• food regulatory and enforcement agencies to collaborate in real time, and manage and contribute to the development of guidance in a secure environment.
