At its 76th meeting held in Canberra on 5 December 2018, the FSANZ Board approved one draft variation to the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (the Code).
After making an Initial Administrative Assessment, the Board rejected the following Applications pursuant to section 13A Food Standards Australia New Zealand Act 1991 (as was in force prior to 1 July 2007):

At its 75th meeting held in Canberra on 5 September 2018, the FSANZ Board approved two draft variations to the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (the Code).

Strategic Planning
The Board continued its discussions on a long-term strategy for the agency to be implemented via the existing planning and governance documents within FSANZ, principally the corporate plan.
During its meeting in Wellington, the FSANZ Board also took the opportunity to meet with a range of industry, consumer, public health and government stakeholders.

At its 73rd meeting held in Canberra on 7 and 8 March 2018, the FSANZ Board approved two draft variations to the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (the Code).

Strategic Planning
During the meeting the Board had discussions on a long-term strategy to be implemented via the existing planning and governance documents within FSANZ, principally the corporate plan. The Board agreed to developing a strategic plan over a series of meetings this calendar year.
During its meeting, the FSANZ Board took the opportunity to hold a stakeholder reception to celebrate the opening of FSANZ’s new premises at Majura Park, Canberra.
