To avoid time outs or delays in accessing PDF file formats on the website, the following steps will allow the pdf or Word document to be saved to your PC. A pdf file will be displayed as (pdf .... kb)
-
Place cursor on file to be opened( link will be highlighted )
- Right click mouse and text box will appear. This should open a menu, which includes an option of either 'Save Target As...' (Internet Explorer) or 'Save Link As...' (Netscape).
-
Click on 'Save target as' and another text box will open - ' Save as '. This will enable you to save the document selected to a specified destination, ie to your desktop or hard drive.
Please note: These steps are consistent with the browser - Internet Explorer and PCs. Wording may vary slightly with other browsers and computer systems.
