The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Food Safety Risk Communication Framework and its associated Guidelines (the Framework) was endorsed by APEC members in 2022. With funding from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, FSANZ played a leading role in developing this Framework.
The Framework details international best practices in effective food safety risk communication and provides practical guidance on food safety communication during food safety incidents or emergency situations, as well as everyday food safety communication.
The Framework will be a key global reference for food safety regulators and risk communicators into the future.
